Happy Thanksgiving Charlie Brown

As if the holidazes aren’t challenging enough try being a recent raw vegan gone vegan gone non-dairy pescatarian pescatarian while being a member of a family that makes enough food for 40 even if we are just hosting 15… (my dad makes over a dozen different desserts from scratch including some which include mail-ordered lard) My ever evolving dietary restrictions are enough to make my parents furrow their brows in confusion as if I base my food decisions in some attempt to torture them….because in their mind its way worse for them to figure out what to make me verses me trying to figure out what I am going to eat on a day that’s entirely based on meat, eggs, gravies and dairy. Ugh. I digress (this is sub-text of my blog…perhaps a companion piece to the nail art OY!)

Ok back to the subject at hand (all puns intended) Charlie Brown, Snoopy, Woodstock and the rest of the Peanuts gang really got the meaning of a Thanksgiving dinner- hanging casually with friends eating jelly beans, popcorn, pretzels and some toast! Yes please! Anyway, Happy Thanksgiving Charlie Brown is a sweet fun holiday classic that keeps me young and craving jelly belly’s… And the moral of this post if you can’t cook a turkey or in my case eat the turkey why not base your manicure around it…Is that enough Mom?

Of course Ran hooked it up as per usual – we used Ace Gel in savory shades of yams and cranberry, M.A.C 3D Gold Glitter and Gouache to paint the turkey and to bring Snoopy and his trusty side kick Woodstock to life.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
